How often should my piano be tuned?
Ideally, your piano should be tuned at least once a year to keep it sounding at its best; However, if it has been many years since the last tuning, get it done now. A piano will always benefit from a qualified technician spending time putting things back in order. A piano that has not been tuned for years will improve greatly with as little as one appointment with me.
Why call me?
I offer a comprehensive piano care service. I am also happy to offer a no charge advice service for piano owners and piano buyers; that is, if we can deal with matters by phone or email, my time for you is is freely available.
I have had 34 wonderful years working as a piano technician, I am still passionate about my trade, and even now spend much time learning new skills and techniques for my work. This results in a reliable service, and a lower cost as well. I am able to provide a traditional service with modern techniques. I tune aurally, in the manner that was taught, and the only accepted way when I was young, but I am versed with the technology to tune outside the equal temperament for musicians requiring something special.
My aim is to offer you the best service available at a reasonable price to you. As a sole operator, I run my business as a full-time independent piano tuner/technician. I do all of my own scheduling, correspondence, and tuning work, so you know that you will be able to contact me directly with your quetions and that I'll be the technician who arrives at your door each and every time. I schedule no more than 3-4 appointments on a given day to ensure that I'll have plenty of time to service your piano, and perhaps spend additional time on voicing or regulation if requested.
What are the payment methods?
You can pay your invoice via cash, cheque, Paypal and online banking. My banking details will be on the invoice.
